‘The Oasis’ is conceived to be a new waterfront icon in the emerging cityscape of Pujiang in South Shanghai. Located on a previously industrial site and destined to be part of Shanghai’s grand scheme for a continuous waterfront park in the future, the location for ‘the Oasis’ is predestined for a one of a kind temporary boutique hotel and entertainment centre. All structures are built as mobile, flexible and temporary buildings made from sea containers, reminiscent of the areas industrial past.
A special venue by the Huangpu River with interconnected open and lively spaces, restaurants, beachfront, concert venues and sports grounds integrating the boutique hotel; spaces that have a human scale for the use of holiday makers and team building events.
